Sensex sheds 362 pts, Nifty ends below 7050; SBI falls 6% -- 16 Feb 2016

                                                       

The Sensex ended down 362.15 points or 1.5 percent at 23191.97. The Nifty slipped 114.70 points or 1.6 percent at 7048.25. About 617 shares have advanced, 2003 shares declined, and 105 shares are unchanged. Banks, capital goods, pharma, auto, FMCG and oil & gas stocks fell drastically at the final hour of trade. SBI, Tata Motors, BHEL, GAIL and L&T were top laggards in the Sensex. Adani Ports, NTPC, Dr Reddy's and Wipro were major gainers in the Sensex.
