Nifty reclaims 7750, Sensex flat; Infosys gains, HDFC falls -- 31 Mar 2016

The market gained some strength after opening flat. The Sensex rose 74.30 points to 25412.88 and the Nifty reclaimed 7750 level, up 18 points to 7753.20.

                                               
Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Infosys, Vedanta, Tata Power and UltraTech Cement were early gainers while ONGC, Adani Ports, Coal India, HDFC, SBI, Idea Cellular and PNB were losers.

The Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 66.35 per dollar today against previous close of 66.37.

The 30-share index was trading at 25,371, up 33 points or 0.13 per cent. It touched a high of 25,380.90 and a low of 25,341.47 in morning trade. 

The Nifty50 was trading at 7,747 up 12 point or 0.16 per cent. It touched a high of 7,747.90 and a low of 7,725.50 in the first 30 minutes of trade. 


The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.08 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.25 per cent higher. 

Lupin (up 1.5 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.1 per cent), Infosys (up 0.8 per cent), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.7 per cent), and Wipro (up 0.67 per cent), were the major Sensex gainers. 

ONGC (down 1.7 per cent), Asian Paints (down 0.98 per cent), Asian Paints (down 0.5 per cent) and Adani Ports (down 0.53 per cent) were the major Sensex losers.
